Southern League Preview: Thatcham Town vs Melksham Town
The Kingfishers return to Southern League action at the Stacatruc Stadium on Saturday against Melksham Town (3:00PM)
Danny Robinson’s side sit at the top of the division after taking 51 points from 20 league fixtures, with only one loss so far.
Second-placed Frome sit seven points adrift in second and the Kingfishers also hold a game in hand over their title nearest rival.
But Melksham approach this weekend’s fixture in fine form after winning their last seven matches with impressive performances against Paulton Rovers and Frome in recent weeks.
The away side now sit sixth in the division and are within touching distance of Larkhall Athletic and Paulton Rovers in the places above.
Thatcham have picked up wins in their last three matches, including their 4-0 victory over Willand Rovers in their last outing.
The reverse fixture between the blues and Melksham resulted in a tightly-contested 1-1 draw back in September.
