Southern League Preview: Thatcham Town vs Cinderford Town

The Blues return to the Stacatruc Stadium this weekend to welcome Cinderford Town in the Southern League (Saturday, 3:00pm kick-off)

Danny Robinson’s side continued their fantastic unbeaten run in league action by defeating high-flying Evesham United 4-2 in their most recent outing.

The win was welcomed by players and fans alike after recent exits in the Challenge Cup, FA Trophy and Berks & Bucks competitions.

Cinderford suffered an FA Trophy exit of their own in their last outing against Havant & Waterlooville but the Foresters have improved their league form as of late.

The away side have won three of their last four league fixtures; scoring 12 goals in the process to climb up the division to sixth.

The Kingfishers sit second in the league standings with Frome three points ahead at the summit of the division but Town hold four games in hand over the Somerset-based side.
