FA Vase winning midfielder Harrison Bayley has signed for Thatcham again, following a spell with Bracknell Town.
Harrison made 58 appearances for Thatcham during the 2017/18 season, scoring 5 goals and winning the Player’s Player of the Year award. He then moved to Bracknell, helping The Robins reach last season’s Southern League D1 Central play-off final, but announced his exit from Larges Lane last week.
After agreeing to return to the Kingfishers, Harrison commented, “I’ve returned as I gained a real connection to the club in the Hellenic League and FA Vase double winning season, where we enjoyed such long winning and unbeaten runs. It was an easy decision for me as I know the club well and have a good relationship with the people there. Some will say I’ve come back home!”
“I’ve been watching a lot of match highlights and the teams looks strong - and it’s no surprise where Thatcham are in the league. I hope I can add to the quality already there, and help Thatcham win the league and get promoted.”
Harrison is eligible to play a part in the club's festive fixtures but may be ruled out by the tail end of a slight Achilles injury.
